Week 12 - Bridges
This week our topic is 'Bridges'. Join us in finding out about famous bridges around the world, discovering the engineers who designed and built them and exploring the metaphorical bridges we can build with other people.

The Bailey Bridge, a type of truss bridge, was designed by Sir Donald Coleman Bailey who lived in Christchurch. He built the first trial of this type of bridge at Stanpit Marsh in 1940 and it is still there today. Perhaps you have walked across it?
