Dear Parents/ carers & children,

We will attach and update home learning on this page. Please also email us if you have any questions. We are hoping the children enjoy the tasks ,they are still linked to our topic of 'Ancient Egypt,' as we know how enthusiastic they are about this.

Please direct any questions about English/Topic (History/Art/RE) to Mrs Carey

Maths/Science (Mrs Hodge)

English Home Learning

The tasks have been set in sessions, so they are for you to work at your own pace. We are hoping the children enjoy the 'creative' links with their English learning. We will update and add more work regularly.

Topic ideas (Linked to History/Art)

We have attached a few different ideas that children could explore. Please again pick and choose which you would like to do and enjoy at your own pace!

Maths

Tasks will link to prior learning and revision- a explanation sheet has also been added to support your children with the appropriate methods at home.

Science

In science we have been looking at States of Matter. We have been thinking about how solids, liquids and gasses change and what makes them change. We would like you do to an experiment at home.

Which container is best to use as a bird bath?

I am going away for 3 weeks over the summer holidays and I have a bird bath at home that I usually fill up every couple of days, but when I am away I won't be able to fill it up. So which container will keep the most water in it during the 3 weeks?

Can you design an experiment to find out which container is the best? And then carry out the experiment and record your results.

Remember to think about what you are changing, what you are keeping the same and what you are measuring.

This is a link to a website with this experiment on it:

Computing

We are currently putting together a guide for children to access our SCRATCH (coding) login account- so they can continue designing their own Ancient Egyptian game.
