Sopley Primary School

SEND

Our SENCo is Mrs Claire Bleakley

Our school works tirelessly to ensure children with SEND receive the best possible support. The school uses a range of different assessments to identify individual children’s needs as well as working closely with a wide range of external agencies. All SEND children receive specific targeted support to ensure they make the best possible progress across all subjects.

We define children with SEND (special educational needs) as those who require teaching in addition to and different from their peers in order to be able to access the curriculum and make progress.

The Federation of Burley and Sopley Primary Schools SEND Policy (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) can be found on our Federation Policies page.
