Congratulations
Year 6 SATS – I would like to say a very big well done to all the Year 6 children for completing their End of Key Stage Statutory tests with confidence and positive attitudes – I am sure they have fulfilled the school value “Be the best you can be”. Thank you to Mrs Potts for overseeing the tests all week. Today they relaxed and enjoyed a lovely full English breakfast followed by a bike ride and picnic in the forest - the children’s fabulous choice as a way to wind down.
The BPSA is hoping to raise much needed funds for our school with Bag2school. Bag2School is a free fundraising scheme for schools that collects unwanted textiles. They will be visiting Burley School on 28th May. We are looking to collect good quality second hand adults and children’s clothing, sheets, blankets, curtains, soft toys, shoes, belts and handbags that can be reused. Bags were provided today. They need to be filled and in school by 9am on this date. If you need to know anymore their website is: www.bag2school.com/u/k/home/
Best wishes Mrs K
